Background

Guardrisk Allied Products & Services (Pty) Ltd, in conjunction with the RMI, have developed the RMI4SURE business insurance programme to provide an added value offering to all RMI members, as well as the many other businesses operating in the Retail Motor Industry within South Africa.

This programme utilises the collective buying power of RMI members, as well as an innovative self-insurance structure, to provide an optimal and cost effective form of risk financing.

While each client is evaluated on the own risk profile and priced accordingly, the programme incorporates certain minimum levels of cover, which are mandatory when taking certain sections. The RMI took the decision to standardise these limits, as it was found, through broad based research, that there were no standards to the cover adopted and in many cases, clients selected inappropriate limits.
